Why Choose Ocean Freight?

Ocean freight is a cost-effective and reliable solution for shipping goods between the United States and Europe, making it an ideal choice for shipments of all sizes. With the ability to transport large volumes, including oversized or bulk cargo, ocean freight offers unmatched scalability and flexibility. It’s also a more environmentally friendly option, boasting a lower carbon footprint per ton-mile compared to air freight. Whether you need full container loads (FCL) for exclusive shipments or less-than-container loads (LCL) for smaller consignments, ocean freight provides customizable options to meet diverse shipping needs. Additionally, its extensive global network of ports ensures seamless connections between major trade hubs, enabling businesses to expand their reach worldwide.

Ocean Freight Options

  • FCL (Full Container Load): Perfect for large shipments requiring a full container.
  • LCL (Less Container Load): Ideal for smaller shipments sharing container space with others.
  • RORO (Roll-On-Roll-Off): Designed for vehicles, such as cars and boats, that can be driven or rolled onto the vessel.

Full Container Load (FCL) Shipping Services

We offer flexible container solutions, including 20-foot standard containers and 40-foot high-cube (HC) containers. The 40-foot HC containers provide extra height for larger or bulkier cargo, making them ideal for maximizing storage capacity. A container can be delivered and dropped at any location across the U.S. or Europe, ensuring seamless logistics for your needs.

Two common practices are drop and pull and live load, each suited to specific logistics needs.

  • Live Load

involves the truck waiting on-site while the container is loaded or unloaded, typically 1-2 hours is free of charge. This method is efficient for quick operations and minimizes container handling but can incur detention fees if delays occur.

  • Drop and Pull

allows the truck to leave the container at the loading site and return later to pick it up once loading or unloading is complete. This approach offers more flexibility for shippers, reduces wait times for drivers, and is ideal for locations with unpredictable or extended loading schedules.

Choosing the right method depends on your operational needs, container size requirements, and the efficiency of your loading process.

Less than Container Load (LCL) Shipping Services

We provide efficient LCL shipping solutions for shipments that do not require a full container. LCL allows multiple shipments from different shippers to be consolidated into a single container, optimizing costs and ensuring reliable global transportation. Our services cover major ports across the U.S. and Europe, offering seamless logistics and competitive transit times.

We offer two flexible options for cargo consolidation before export:

  • Chicago Warehouse Consolidation

Ship your items to our Chicago warehouse, where they will be securely consolidated with other shipments and prepared for international export. For imports, cargo arriving from overseas can be deconsolidated at our facility and made available for pickup or further distribution.

  • Nationwide Partner Locations

For added convenience, you can send your cargo to one of our trusted partner facilities across the U.S. and Europe, where it will be prepared for consolidation and export. For imports, your shipment can be received at a partner location and processed for regional distribution.

LCL shipping is a cost-effective alternative for businesses or individuals looking to transport smaller freight volumes without the commitment of a full container.

Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) Shipping Services

We provide reliable RoRo shipping solutions for vehicles, machinery, and other wheeled cargo that can be driven or towed onto a vessel. RoRo shipping is an efficient method for transporting large items that are unsuitable for full containerization, ensuring safe and timely delivery across global ports. Our services cover major ports in the U.S., Europe, and beyond, offering streamlined logistics and competitive transit times.
